Product Description:
Y2346 is a reactively modified product based on SEBS grafted with Glycidyl Methacrylate(GMA).By introducing highly reactive epoxy functional groups onto the SEBS elastomer chain,it becomes an efficient reactive compatibilizer and toughening agent.The epoxy groups can undergo in-situ interfacial reactions with polymers containing carboxyl,amino,or hydroxyl groups(such as PET,PBT,PA,etc.)during melt blending,significantly reducing interfacial tension and strengthening interphase adhesion.Y2346 combines the excellent elastic toughening properties of SEBS with the chemical reactivity of GMA,making it particularly suitable for improving the compatibility between polyolefins and polar engineering plastics like polyester and polyamide.

Processing Suggestions:
Y2346 possesses good thermal stability.The recommended processing temperature range is 190°C to 260°C.It is advised to avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 260°C to prevent the loss of epoxy group activity or decomposition.
General Application Scenarios:
High-Performance Engineering Plastic Alloys(Polyolefin/Polyester Alloys):Used in blends of PP/PE with PET/PBT.The epoxy groups of Y2346 react with the carboxyl end groups of polyesters,generating graft copolymers in-situ.This significantly refines the dispersed phase size and greatly enhances the notched impact strength and elongation at break of the alloy.
Polyester(PET/PBT)Toughening Modification:Used for super-tough modification of PET(including recycled PET)and PBT.Y2346 can significantly improve low-temperature brittleness and notch sensitivity while maintaining the rigidity and heat resistance of the polyester.It is suitable for injection molding grade toughened polyester.
Polyamide(PA6/PA66)Reactive Toughening:Acts as a high-efficiency toughening agent for PA.The epoxy groups of GMA react with the amino/carboxyl end groups of PA,forming a chemically bonded core-shell structure.Compared to non-reactive toughening agents(such as pure SEBS),it offers higher toughening efficiency and better retention of material flowability.
Storage and Safety:
Storage Conditions:Should be stored in a cool,dry,and well-ventilated warehouse,avoiding direct sunlight,fire sources,and heat sources.Avoid direct contact with strong acids,strong alkalis,and amine compounds to prevent premature reaction and failure.This product is hygroscopic.Please use promptly after opening;if not fully used,seal tightly to prevent moisture absorption which could affect processing stability and reactivity.
Shelf Life:12 months from the date of manufacture under original,unopened packaging and proper storage conditions.
