产品介绍

Y2345 is a maleic anhydride grafted SEBS product from the SEBS-MAH series. This series is based on selected SEBS and uses an advanced reactive melt-grafting process to efficiently graft maleic anhydride (MAH), producing a high-performance functional polymer. The product features a high grafting ratio (Y2345 grafting ratio ≥0.6%) and contains no plasticizing oil, ensuring purity and performance stability. By introducing polar maleic anhydride functional groups onto the non-polar SEBS backbone, Y2345 acts as an efficient interfacial modifier. It significantly reduces the interfacial tension between the non-polar phase and polar engineering plastics (such as PA, PET) in polymer blends, enhances the interaction between the two phases, and provides both compatibilization and toughening effects. This product is specifically designed to enhance the performance of high-end thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and specialty cable materials, significantly improving the mechanical properties and surface quality of final products.

Product Appearance:Light yellow to light amber translucent rubber particles (Y2345 is natural color particles)

Product Properties:

1. High grafting ratio: Special process ensures efficient and uniform grafting of maleic anhydride, providing abundant reactive sites.

2. No plasticizing oil: Pure product with no risk of oil migration, especially suitable for applications demanding high purity, migration resistance, and long-term stability.

3. Excellent compatibility: Effectively improves compatibility between non-polar polymers (e.g., SEBS, PP, PE) and polar polymers or fillers (e.g., halogen-free flame retardants, engineering plastics).

4. Enhancement and toughening: Significantly improves tensile strength, elongation at break, and impact resistance of the base material.

5. Improved processing and appearance: Enhances melt flowability of the formulation, reduces processing difficulty, and provides excellent surface smoothness and a fine rubber touch.

Typical Applications:

1. High-performance TPE halogen-free flame retardant cable compounds: As a key compatibilizer for data cables, charging cables, etc., improving compatibility between flame retardants, fillers, and elastomer matrix – a critical additive for achieving high mechanical properties, smooth surfaces, and stable flame retardancy.

2. High-end toughening modification: As an efficient toughening agent for engineering plastics such as PPO and HIPS – a small addition significantly increases notched impact strength while improving processing flow.

3. Polymer alloy compatibilizer: Suitable for incompatible or partially compatible polymer alloy systems such as PA/PPO, PA/PP, PPO/PS, PP/PA – effectively improves phase interface adhesion to obtain well-balanced alloy properties.

4. Filled modification: Improves interfacial bonding between mineral fillers (e.g., talc, magnesium hydroxide) and TPE or SEBS – enhances mechanical properties and surface quality.

5. Adhesive layer: Can be used as a hot-melt adhesive or bonding layer for metal (aluminum, steel) to plastic lamination, or for multilayer co-extrusion structures (e.g., barrier films containing PA or EVOH).

6. Polar resin toughening: Can be used for toughening modification of certain polar resins such as PA and PET.

Recommended Addition Level:
Thanks to its high grafting ratio and efficiency, SEBS-MAH is effective at low addition levels. The recommended addition range is typically 3%–10% of the total formulation. The optimum addition level should be determined based on the specific base formulation, target properties, and processing conditions.

Processing Recommendations:
Y2345 has good thermal stability. The recommended processing temperature range is 190°C–260°C. Final processing temperature should be optimized according to the specific formulation, equipment type, and process conditions. Pilot trials are recommended before mass production.

Packaging and Storage:

1. Packaging: Paper-plastic composite bag, 25 kg/bag. Avoid moisture, contamination, and direct sunlight during transport.

2. Storage: Store in a ventilated, dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This product is hygroscopic – keep sealed after opening to prevent moisture absorption.

3. Shelf life: 12 months from production date under proper storage conditions in original unopened packaging.

4. Safety precautions: Ensure good ventilation during high-temperature processing. Use protective gloves and goggles. Do not store with flammable or corrosive materials, and keep away from ignition sources. Refer to the product SDS for detailed safety information.
