SEBS-MAH

SEBS-MAH is a high-performance functional polymer made from carefully selected SEBS through an advanced reactive melt grafting process, which efficiently grafts maleic anhydride (MAH). This product features high grafting efficiency, contains no plasticizing oil, and ensures purity and performance stability. It is a highly effective compatibilizer and toughener specifically designed to enhance the performance of high-end thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) and specialty cable compounds, significantly improving the mechanical properties and appearance quality of the final products.

Product Features:

1. High Grafting Efficiency: Specialized process ensures efficient and uniform grafting of maleic anhydride, providing abundant active sites.

Free of Plasticizing Oil: The product is pure and free from oil exudation risks, making it particularly suitable for applications demanding high purity, migration resistance, and long-term stability.

2. Excellent Compatibility: Effectively improves compatibility between nonpolar polymers (such as SEBS, PP, PE) and polar polymers or fillers (e.g., halogenfree flame retardants, engineering plastics).

3. Reinforcement and Toughening: Significantly enhances the tensile strength, elongation at break, and impact resistance of the base material.

4. Improved Processing and Appearance: Enhances the melt flowability of the formulation system, reduces processing difficulties, and imparts a smooth surface and fine rubber-like feel to the finished products.

Typical Applications:

1. HighPerformance TPE HalogenFree FlameRetardant Cable Compounds: As a core compatibilizer for data cables, charging cable jackets, etc., it improves compatibility between flame retardants, fillers, and the elastomer matrix, serving as a key additive for achieving high mechanical performance, smooth surfaces, and stable flame retardancy.

2. HighEnd Toughening Modification: An efficient toughener for engineering plastics such as PPO (polyphenylene oxide) and HIPS (highimpact polystyrene). A small addition can substantially increase the notched impact strength while improving processing flowability.

3. Polymer Alloy Compatibilizer: Suitable for incompatible or partially compatible polymer alloy systems like PPO/PA, PPO/PS, PP/PA, effectively enhancing interfacial adhesion to achieve wellbalanced alloy materials.

4. Toughening of Polar Resins: Can be used to toughen certain polar resins such as PA and PET.

Recommended Dosage:
Thanks to its high grafting efficiency and effectiveness, SEBSMAH delivers remarkable performance even at relatively low addition levels. The recommended dosage typically ranges from 3% to 10% of the total formulation. The optimal amount should be finetuned based on the user’s base formulation, target performance requirements, and processing conditions.

Packaging and Storage:
The product is packed in paperplastic composite bags, 25 kg per bag. During transportation, avoid moisture, contamination, and direct sunlight. Store in a ventilated, dry, and cool place. The shelf life is 12 months from the date of production. Do not store together with flammable or corrosive materials, and keep away from ignition sources.
